Living Wall Specifications & Key Features

lily scott’s custom hydroponic felt-based system is built around a dual-layer woven geo-textile substrate manufactured from recycled plastic water bottles. The substrate is engineered to achieve the optimal balance of moisture retention and airflow, supporting vertical and lateral root migration across the wall face,  reducing plant replacement frequency and maintenance labor over the life of the installation.

Key Features

  • Fully customizable to any shape or size

  • Sustainable substrate,  recycled geo-textile material

  • High fire resistant properties

  • LIFETIME WARRANTY

  • 85% water retention efficiency

  • Biodiverse palette of 100+ exotic tropical varieties

  • Vertical & lateral root migration reduces plant replacement frequency

  • Post-installation maintenance program included

PRESERVED MOSS WALL SYSTEM

Moss Wall Specifications & Key Features

Preserved moss walls are composed of 100% natural mosses harvested according to ecological practice, then preserved through a food-safe glycerin displacement process that permanently suspends biological activity while maintaining natural texture, colour, and tactile softness. The result is a zero-maintenance biophilic installation with a 10+ year service life. No irrigation, no lighting, and no ongoing maintenance program.

Key Features

  • Zero maintenance — no watering, no lighting, no trimming

  • 10+ year service life

  • 100% natural, sustainably harvested European forest moss

  • Custom shapes and dimensions available

  • Logo and signage integration possible

  • Brand colour matching via reindeer moss palette (40+ colours)

  • Suitable for healthcare, hospitality, corporate, retail, and educational environments

  • High fire resistant properties

OUR DESIGN/BUILD PROCESS

How We Work With Design Professionals

We work directly alongside design teams from schematic design through installation and beyond. Our process is structured to fit within standard project timelines and documentation requirements.

01 Initial Consultation

We review your project brief, floor plans, and site conditions to determine system suitability, wall loading requirements, and irrigation access. Available by phone, video, or in person across our service markets.

02 Design Development

We provide detailed system specifications, custom shop drawings, and finish options for incorporation into your CD set. Custom shapes, mixed-species palettes, and brand colour specifications are developed at this stage.

03 Submittal Package

We prepare a full submittal package including product data sheets, estimates, installation methodology, maintenance schedule for contractor and owner review.

04 Procurement & Fabrication

Upon contract execution, we begin fabrication and material sourcing. We coordinate directly with the general contractor and architects regarding host wall preparation, MEP rough-in requirements, and trade coordination.

05 Installation

Our installation team handles all aspects of the green wall installation. Site requirements completed by others prior to our mobilization are confirmed against our pre-installation checklist.

06 Maintenance Program (Living Walls)

All living wall installations include an ongoing maintenance program. We provide scheduled visits for irrigation checks, plant health assessment, pest prevention, pruning, and replacements as required.
